Caroline Weiland

Life can be challenging and there may be times when we can find ourselves out of control, struggling to cope and in emotional pain.

Therapy can help you to understand your feelings, thoughts and what you are experiencing in a non-judgemental way and confidential space. Often behaviours or modes of being that have been useful in the past are no longer serving us well in our current lives. Therapy can be a space to develop awareness into that which is keeping us stuck .Through the re-examination of the roles we may be adopting in relation to ourselves, others and the world, our choices and beliefs, a new perspective and understanding into ourselves and our difficulties can be reached. This new understanding and awareness can increase our sense of freedom, with new choices arising, and a sense of clarity in how to move forward and live a more fulfilling life.

I hope to provide a space in a relaxed environment where you can truly be yourself without fear of judgment expectations or demands put upon you.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to change the time of a session, I will try my best to accommodate your request. All missed and cancelled sessions are chargeable. No fee will be applied if a cancellation is received 48 hours or more prior to the appointment time otherwise the full fee is payable.

Payment is in full at the end of each session by cash or cheque made payable to Caroline Weiland. Payment through bank transfer, credit cards, or Paypal can be made by request. You will be invoiced for any missed sessions or cancellations under the terms above. Invoices must be paid within 14 days. Fees are reviewed on an annual basis.

THERAPIST ABSENCES

I will give you as much notice as possible of holidays and absences and you will not be charged for my absences.

ARRIVAL AND LATE ATTENDANCES

I regret that I cannot make up time if you are late. The sessions last for fifty minutes.

ENDING THERAPY

There may be times when therapy seems difficult and you may wish to discontinue. Often it can be beneficial to work through these challenges. If either you or I think it is time to end the therapy them a mutual discussion should take place including how best to end the therapeutic relationship.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Our sessions are confidential. However if I believe that serious harm could occur to you or to others, confidentiality may be broken.

Before disclosure of any such information I would bring this to your attention and make sure to discuss the matter with you. As a qualified and registered psychotherapist I am in regular supervision as recommended by the BACP and UKCP as I work within the BACP and UKCP ethical guidelines.
